fsx repaint i need help

i need help when putting repaints onto fsx when i put them into th aircraft.cfg file and try to save it will say access denied cn anybod help me

You are not an administrator of you files. You need to change your account as an administrator.

When running Windows7 you need to turn off UAC to do your configs and to save them and then turn UAC back on. You can Google search on how to do that. According to Jim Skorna-Moderator even signing in as ADMIN you still need to turn off UAC.

Save the file to a empty folder under your C: and then transfer it to the airplane folder you want it in. I do this all the time.

all I do is take the aircraft.cfg out of the file (eg, the B737_800) then i save it out of the file, once it saved i put it back in.

ive tried that and for some reason it still wont show up :/

Just put the file you want to edit on your desktop, do the changes and but it back in place. That always works.
