Default UK VA for a beginner..

    Hello everybody!

I'm a new member around here, and new to the world of flight simming generally! A friend let me have a go on fs2004 a month or so ago and since then I have acquired my own copy, a joystick, and lost a whole load of time! (I say lost.. I don't mean it!)

Im currently away (I'd say on business, but I'm a geologist) getting wet and cold in Scotland but i've decided when I return at the begging of next month I'd reward myself with FSX and start getting further into FS by joining a VA. I therefore pose the question: does anybody have experience with a (preferably) UK based VA, that welcomes beginners and has members with the time and patience to lend a helping hand every so often?

I've had a brief google and looked at some of the online lists of VA's but I thought that I'd ask here as well!

    Many thanks for your time,

    Tom

    Hello Tom

    Try here

    http://www.cbfsim.co.uk

We have our own Brit based VA and plenty of patience and willigness to help new guys. Mainly British classic aircraft flying realistic routes long and short.

If you fly the F1 Mustang try us www.blink-virtual.com but you must have a vatsim id

    Hi Tom!

I spent quite some time trying to find a VA that wasn't going to dictate to me what aircraft I was "allowed" to fly, where I had to fly it, and when. I'm now happily flying for these people:-

    http://www.worldwidevirtual.net/index.php/

No rules, no restrictions (except that they do like you to be able to record one flight every three months, but that's hardly a problem).

For me, that's the way all VAs should be.

    Cheers,

    Brian
