Thread: Grand Canyon

  1. Default Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon if you have ever been there you’ll know what I mean; it will simply take your breath away… It is the one place that we as human beings must see... Here are some screenshots of the vast and beautiful canyon that has taken millions of years to create… No photo or video can ever do it justice… In order to capture its true beauty you have to see it with your own eyes…

Watch the flight in the Flight Video Forum titled Canyon Venom UH1-Y (FSX) or here at the end of the screens… I truly hope you enjoy this one…

    Respectfully:

    David…

All I can think of is.... WOW!!!

I will have to check this scenic region out again (have to admit I have only flown a very short flight into one end of the Grand Canyon in my entire FS lifespan. I was using FSX and the A2A Piper Cub).

    Your video is excellent David!

I have seen the Grand Canyon from the window seat of a real-life Boeing 757-200 (United Airlines) at an altitude of over 34,000 ft. I remember that even at this lofty height, the canyon was breathtakingly HUGE. I just gazed in complete awe at it as we flew overhead. I will never forget it.

"In the Garden of Eden" (Inna Godda Da Vida) by Iron Butterfly. Wow, man. Exo choice of tune! That really takes me back, man. Your footage was Prime Royal. That scenery was crisp and tasty enough to chew on. I miss being bumped around in those Hueys; we called 'em "thumpers" because it was said they beat the air into submission--that's why they flew, we were told. Were you a Marine? My Dad was, in 'Nam. I was Army, and spent more than a few hours in those LFBs (Loud Fat Bit--es) You handle your bird really well, sir. Thank you for posting that.

The Video did turn out nice,

The first time I flew over and in the Grand Canyon was with the 20min Helicopter tour the they had in the 80's andd was very limited on there airspace, I don't even know if they still have those flight's with all the new regulations in that area... But would love to fly the river all the way down to the Hoover dam, if it where allowed...
