    Default GPWS3 Help

Am having trouble installing GPWS3 in a new system for Flight Simulator 9.

The panel shows up, the activation switch changes from red to green, but no sound is available and it will not go off.

Have altro tried the installation as an Aircraft Panel Option menu, but no luck.

It would assist if I could know where .gau .xml and .wav files actually should go to and also which - if any - of these files should be installed not individually but as a folder.

Will keep trying in the meantime, but sure am lost amidst what appears to be a simple installation.

The recommendation of installing using actual name from .zip file is not available (or so it seems to me) in the Windows 7 OS which I am using.

Thanks a lot for any help.

Well, as a last resort , try contacting the author.
Which would be me, I guess, judging by the term "GPWS3".
Assuming you did find/read the README.txt in the zip file: my Email adress is at the bottom.

You must be sending it to the wrong Email adress, because I received nothing...

This is the content of my e-mail:

    Rob:

My appreciation for your response to my request for help on GPWS3.

Let me introduce myself: a senior citizen, avid user of FlightSim9, with some but limited experience in adding panels, add-ons, trimmings, etc.

With a new system I find that my procedure for installing GPWS3 is incorrect, resulting in a non-operational gauge.

As posted, could you assist with a minimum effort on your part on how to double-check or, actually, correctly install your indispensable gauge?

The major change I have here is having moved from Windows XP to Windows 7, which I assume has nothing to do with my problem.

Actually, I am sure the problem is me!

    Thanks for any assistance,

Just for the record I would like to inform that my problem with GPWS gauge has been solved and is working properly, owing to the very patient assistance and didactic e-mail received from rcbarend.
