I presume you are referring to rcbco-30.
It has detailed instructions in that package , from memory it can be a little confusing and will need reading
    a couple of times.
Basically it instructs you to (1)place instruments in the gauges folder (2) to make certain entries in you
panel cfg (3) I think again from memory there are notes about the tailhook.

Check in your download , somewhere you will find. in a folder the instructions , they are quite lengthy and
    detailed.
If you are new to installing instruments , please take your time reading those instructions before you proceed with
    the installation.

    Cheers
    Karol
    PS; the readme/ installation instructions are in a folder titled " COP3 " .

...it's almost impossible to locate them without some form of assistance.
Hi Fellas, I agree. Don's WAAS is great! The only problem is, it looks so out of place on an older plane's panel, I wasn't using it much.

Sylvain Parouty's RFN Carrier Operations V30(just released) Gauge with LSO and Quasi ACLS(ILS) has been great for carrier ops on those older birds. It has the basic functions necessary, and looks very similar to a VOR1, so, it blends in well on those old steam gauge panels.
    http://royalefrenchnavy.gratisim.fr/RFN-Creations.htm (Middle of page)

It has an indicator for when a carrier's freq is properly tuned and the carrier is within range.
There is a TACAN needle showing the bearing to the carrier and a bug showing the carrier's heading.
The TACAN/ILS modes are manually switched on the gauge and the ILS mode works quite well.
It can be configured as a popup window or incorporated into a panel...Don

    Default RCBCO-30 COP3 Problems

Been using rcbco-11 and rcbco-20 for years. Now though the COP3 is giving me trouble. Can't get it to go global. Doesn't stop even though it sounds and feels like you made the trap. Crashes (ctd) when resetting flight. Installed newest FUICP 4.853 shows add on in tool bar install log says all is well. Not new at this been working carrier landings for years in FS9. FSX Accceleration works great. What could I be missing? Catapult feature works fine except ctd when resetting flight. Events Log Error says Faulting module name;ntdll, version;6.1.7601.17725 time stamp something or other. Other then that FSX runs like a champ.

The only times I get ntdll.dll errors is when my system is overtaxed.
My FSX has been solid as a rock on my new rig, but, lately I've been getting lots of different crashes. AI, UI, API, etc *.dlls.
Predominantly UIAutomationCore.dll. Investigating that file in Windows/System32/, shows the same version and date stamp as my backup original, but, BIG BUT, it is a much larger file. 733kb vs the 548kb of the original.
Just fyi, I am well versed in the FSX fix and it was in place. Even with the fix it started crashing.
What makes it really odd, IMO, is the SysWOW64/ file is still the small(548kb) original.
I haven't experienced any trojans or other virus attacks, so, I assume the System32 file was replaced by a Windows Update.
I replaced the big one with the original and viola no more crashes.

My Windows/System32/ntdll.dll has also grown from 1,288,472bytes to 1,292,080 bytes. Again the version and date stamp are the same.
I have not experienced any ntdll.dll errors, but, I haven't been using COP3. All of my primary Carriers and Planes are Acceleration Native.
It might be worth inverstigating that further. You will probably have to "Take Ownership" and maybe jump through other hoops to replace it. You may not be able to, if it is "In Use"...Don

It seems the catapult effect works fine and you can reset the flight without crashing. I also use it for the sonic boom which works fine. I just wanted to hook up my F4 WW11 with the capability to hook. My jets can use the default system which works preaty good (beam hook down!) Anything else I just fire up FS9. When I read others make it work I like to as well It just puzzles me why it won't work.

When I right click the zone button will it tell me I'm Global? Can't seem to get the thing to work.

    Couple of thoughts...

First off, this issue almost certainly has nothing to do with ntdll.dll. It will be one of the compiled gauges (.gau or .dll files) that is making a function call into ntdll and providing the wrong argument (data input) to the function.

Do you have all the files in the right places? Where are the dsd_arrester_zones.ini and dsd_catapult_zones.ini files located? If the zones gauge is not finding these files, I suspect you would have issues like this.

Is your FSX install in the default directory (inside the Program Files directory?) If this is the case, you probably don't have the required rights to make changes to the config files - this too could be causing the problem. This problem can be solved by taking ownership of the directory.

You stated that the catapult works .
    Tailhook does NOT work.

Please read the installation instructions carefully , and specifically the notes about the " Tailhook " .
It may well be related to your aircraft's tailhook , from memory it is not necessary to have a visible tailhook , but it is
required that a virtual tailhook of the correct length be set up , the notes cover it all fully.

Specifically these portions in the Readme :-
    - 3.3. Carrier landings: the arrester gauge
    - Appendix-2: Requirements on the FSX environment you use ..
    - 2. Tailhook definition.

    Cheers
