default airport not working how to fix it

Hi; My default airport CYHM is not working and every time I try to go there the program crashes, the message doesn't give any information so how do I restore this airport from the 3rd disk in Fs9 please. Thanks in advance. Robin

Hi Jim; The error message say's contents mod no information. I added some parking spots with AFCAD and I've searched for the AFC2_CYHM.bgl and deleted it from the Addon Scenery/scenery file. Even downloaded another sccenery from Flight Ontario no joy. Robin

Then maybe try loading it with another airplane. Sometimes the problem is in the aircraft.

Well I've tried going into the 3rd disk and d/l the airport bgl installed it and still the same problem so I decided to take the whole damn thing out and reinstall Fs9, a real pain where you sit, but hopefully this will fix the damn thing! Robin

If you delete any scenery types be sure you remove them via the scenery library setting in FS first. This avoids skipping sequence errors with missing numbers in scenery.cfg which are not fixed by a reindex with FS. It could be you need to run a scenery repair utility on your scenery.cfg. I don't recall the name of current available scenery managers for that.

In the message mod no information did it give you an option to get more detail like which module?

With regard to ai, turn your FS ai setting to zero to determine if there is an ai model problem there.

If you were modifying an add-on scenery I highly recommend you use ADE9X. AFCAD221 was an early development utility and can strip information from more complex afd type files.

Another source of this problem could be landclass and texture modification add-ons as well as scenery add-on libraries.

Hi Ronzie I finally got so frustrated I re uploaded the whole damn Fs9 and started over, it seemed to work ok then boom it went on the fritz again its only CYHM Hamilton Ontario which causes the problems and crashes Fs9. I've reloaded the AP926160.bgl which doesnt do any thing so until I have a good hold on my temper and lots of time I'm going to avoid flying to CYHM. Thanks for your input. Robin

Check for all your AI planes with textures must be use 1,048,640 bytes not 4,000,000 bytes something. If you have DXTBmp program you can change to reduce to DXT3 and save textures.
