Be prepared for long answers. This is one topic where being an old fart has an inherent advantage.
I served 20 years in the US Navy and have landed as a passenger in military aircraft or on military orders at over 250 airports and air bases from Bandar Abbas in Iran (1973) to Beirut Lebanon (1983) - the long way around. Never closed that gap between the two to complete an around the world trip. That includes 37 traps and 26 cat shots on six carriers and helo landings on 12 other ships, including the USS Lexington.
I've flown as a civilian to 14 states - about 25 airports, and France.
I've flown/ landed as a student or pilot in Light Sport Aircraft on 27 airports in the North Texas, Southern Oklahoma, Southwest Arkansas, Northwest Louisiana area.
My experiences are minor compared to many folks on this site. Some younger than me.
