Win 7-FSX-Editing Text Files

I have frequently altered/adjusted aircraft text fies when using Win XP. I now have Win 7 & when attempting changes I am advised that "access is denied". I accept that this is a Windows 7 issue & I only post here because I have not found a solution using the Windows Help forums & hope that someone here has found a solution to this issue.

Hi,

1. Do not have FSX installed into the Program Files folder.

2. Turn off UAC in Windows. Make your edits and save them. Turn UAC back On.

I think its easier to copy & paste the text file to a folder in your documents, make your changes & copy & paste back to the aircraft folder.

Hi,

UAC is User Account Control

Located in Control Panel----User Accounts---Change User Account Control settings

The Help system in Windows is quite user friendly these days.
