    Default 737 ng

    Hi!
Im thinking of buying a 737ng for FSX and i wonder which one i should choose.

    Ifly
    or
    PMDG

I have a medium end computer.
I have flown with Fsx for a couple of years, but im not that into systems(i do want too learn more!)
The PMDG 737 NGX is quite expensive, and i dont wanna buy anything that my computer cant handle and has a too steep learning curve.
I've read that the IFLY has worse frame rates..
    which one would you recommend?

    Thanks!!

What are your current system specs? The difference in performance between the iFly and the PMDG isn't that great, but you'll have difficulties with the PMDG if you're not running on a 64bit system. I currently have a core2 quad overclocked to 3.02 with 4gb of ram, just about manages to run it, although I can expect about 10fps on the ground and 15-20 in the air. But the PMDG is worth the performance hit for the realism. It's a very rewarding aircraft to learn (and you will need to learn it!) - iFly was a good substitute, but as soon as I got windows 7 I got got the PMDG

I have the iFly version and really like it. I get steady frame rates at 35 (locked via external limiter) but if the mouse pointer becomes active in VC, frame rates tend to drop down to 30 or so. This is a quirk that quite a few people have had with this package. Some people have worse frame rate drops when the mouse pointer is active. No one seems to know why. I certainly can't figure it out. If it wasn't for this quirk, I would be perfectly happy with the airplane and would find no need in possibly looking at buying the PMDG version.

Try the IFLY,it has a money back deal,i.e. I've had it for a while and they just released the feature pack which adds a number of extras.
I would try using it at less busy airports if you have a lower to medium speed rig.
These days, you really need a faster rig to handle the newer software, both aircraft and scenery.
I would look to upgrading your system when you can afford it.
