Thread: World of AI aircraft appearing in Select Aircraft

  1. Default World of AI aircraft appearing in Select Aircraft

    Hi,

As the title suggests ai aircraft are appearing in the select aircraft menu, I've used aired. to edit to air file from '2' to '0' but this hasn't had any affect.

    Any ideas?

Making the edits should do it. Sometimes there are variations of the same plane that need to be edited. I use AITM and I have all my WOAI hidden.
    Thanks,

    Jim

I'll have another look at it then cheers, also, do you know why, despite having changed the manufacturer to the particular airline in the cfg. when the ai aircraft is flying what I've typed in the '=manufacturer' doesn't appear? It stays as 'aardvark' for example? Any way to resolve this?

    Thanks,

Because there may be repaints in the .cfg file. You need to change the ui_manfacturer for each repaint as well.
    Thanks,

    Jim

    Try this.

FS2002/FS2004 BBQ Hide AI. If there are many AI aircraft installed they will slow down the startup and shutdown time and the aircraft selection menu. BBQ Hide AI is an utility for batch modifying user's selected aircraft types, make hiding or un-hiding those aircraft from the aircraft menu by just a matter of clicks. By Alan WL Chan.

    Hi,

I'll just try editing the air files one more time, if not I'll download the tool you suggested. Your right, it does slow down the loading time of the list and looks really untidy too!

    Thanks for your help

When you change the zero into two make sure to push "enter" then "save." I bet this will fix your problem. Fire up the FS9 and you shouldn't see the ai your trying to hide.
