    Default Two small points

Good day, folks. Just two queries. Is there any way that Rod's Ground School notes can be enlarged that my eyes can read them more comfortably...and why doesn't Ctrl-Z maintain my altitude for me? Do I need to have 'Num lock' on or off or something?
    Gracias.

    Simple:
1-Use Adobe Reader to read the GS.
2-You must select altitude hold from the panel, Ctrl+Z only turns on the autopilot and sometimes the wing level. Same aplies for HDG hold, NAV hold, etc. But not every aircraft has those options (the J3 Cub for example).

To have altitude and heading hold - the aircraft.cfg file must be setup for an autopilot.

There doesn't have to be one in the panel, even if there is one in the panel, the aircraft.cfg must have it enabled.

Well, your answers have given me something to work on. Thanks indeed. However, I suspect I'll be back for more help with this.

OK back already. I should explain that I'm just working my way through Rod's lessons and am about to try for my Instrument ticket. So...just how do I get to open those GS notes with Adobe and where DO i find that cfg. file. Just calling for your patience, fellows.

Navigate to your "Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Uires" folder and find "fl01.htm", right click it and choose "Send to > Desktop (create shortcut)". Then go to the desktop and double-click the new shortcut and the lessons pages will open in your internet browser. There you can read them thoroughly before flying the flight, adjust text size, etc.

    EDIT:
...and why doesn't Ctrl-Z maintain my altitude for me?
It could also be that the autopilot is disabled while in the lessons flights, there's a special .abl script that runs with those flights that can control things like that, it's also the script that let's Rod take control of the airplane, i.e. "OK, I've got the airplane".

Many thanks, Jim. The "fl01.htm" did the trick perfectly. I take your point about the Autopilot. I'm sure that you're right there as well. Such knowledge in such a young head.

You're quite welcome Smilin74 Incidentally the learning center can also be made available this way, just send a shortcut to "lc01.htm" to your desktop as well...
