I prefer not to use the FS ATC. It has no idea how to vector properly. As Don says, it'll drive you nut on the approach.

"Speedbird2012, you are 70 mile northeast, turn left heading 310, decent and maintain 13,000"

30 seconds later: "Speedbird2012, turn right heading 270"
10 seconds later: "Speedbird2012, turn left heading 310"
"Speedbird2012, contact London Centre [I'm already talking to London centre]"
"Speedbird2012, turn right heading 270"
"Speedbird2012, turn left heading 310"

Ahhhhh y'know what!? "Speedbird2012, cancel IFR"

Nightmare.
