Thread: CFG File question

  1. Default CFG File question

Contained within my FSX file I have 2 files fsx.cfg and fsx.

When I hover my mouse over the fsx.cfg file it shows (tex Doc, Size 13.1 kb) and when I hover it over the FSX file it shows (Type cfg file size 13.1kb).

Does this seem correct as the stated fsx.cfg file only shows text document with the mouse over it.

I would welcome any confirmation and I aopologise if the answer is self eveident.

The txt file is a backup, generated by FS.
    Thanks,

Go to Windows Explorer and open TOOLS/FOLDER OPTIONS/VIEW and uncheck the box for "Hide extensions for known file types" then you will see them. The .txt file is generated anytime you have a FS crash and can be deleted. However its also a good idea to make a backup of your current fsx.cfg in case the working one gets corrupted, it saves a lot of work if you have a lot of trusted gauges or 'tweaks'
