Hi; Could some kind soul evaluate these TNG flightplans I made using AIFP and point out any errors in them please. I am trying to add some traffic to some of my local airports. Your feedback will be much appreciated. RobinFlightPlans_TNG.txt

Hi Robin!
Just a couple of things from my perspective:
1. For touch-and-go's, check the "TNG" box on the AIFP2 flight plan editor (it's next to the MTWTFSS boxes), then for that leg put in the time you want it to finally land in the "overide ETA box". The plane should perform touch and go's until the landing time specified, then land and park, getting ready to start it's next leg.
2. Some aircraft models perform erratically when made a VFR flight plan. If you notice problems, try making them all IFR. (Wouldn't change it myself unless problems).
Hope this helps.
Dan
Thanks Dan thats the kind of imput I'm looking for. Robin
Also, your 15 minute flights may not allow enough time for a 2nd go-around, if not, they'll only go around once and land. CSK3 doesn't have any parking spots in default FS9 so the AI would never show up there without adding some parking spots with ADE or something. Maybe you already have an addon for that airport though?

Hi Jim; I used AFCAD to add parking spots to this addon for CSK3, and a 24hour time frame. I tried using 12 hours but kept getting messages saying it was too short a period for the flight which confuses me since its doing circuits of only one airport. I am using AIFP to make these flightplans. Robin
Hi Robin,
To be honest I never got along with AIFP very well, I only wrote what few flight plans I ever made by hand in Notepad and simply compiled them with TTools. I dunno about the 12hr/24hr thing, it sure seems to me that 12hrs would be enough time to make it around the pattern a couple times, lol. On the 15 minute thing I was talking about 14:00:56,14:15:56, but I played with these myself allowing 1/2 hour instead and the plane made about 10 circuits in that time so I'm sure 15 minutes would be plenty of time in retrospect. Here's what I came up with BTW, I only checked the first flight at CSK3 but they seemed to work:
AC#1,C-BLAT,51%,24H,VFR,10:00,TNG10:30,040,R,0002,CSK3,13:00,TNG13:30,040,R,0002,CSK3
AC#2,C-WEIR,51%,24H,VFR,11:00,TNG11:30,030,R,0001,CSK3,14:00,TNG14:30,030,R,0001,CSK3
AC#3,C-WEIR,51%,24H,VFR,12:00,TNG12:30,030,R,0001,CSK3,15:00,TNG15:30,030,R,0001,CSK3
AC#2,N0R3MA,51%,24H,VFR,13:00,TNG13:30,030,R,0003,CYUL,16:00,TNG16:30,030,R,0003,CYUL
I have AIFP installed on my old machine so I fired it up to have a look. It must be an ancient version of AIFP that I have installed because I don't have the "overide ETA box" that Dan mentioned. In fact the only way I could specify an ending time for the TNGs was to double click the plan window which opened the plan in Notepad and then edit the flightplans.txt directly.
I had a look at CSK3 in SBuilderX using VirtualEarth imagery and I see MS really missed the mark on their rendition of the airport. It looks like a busy airport, there must have been 50 airplanes sitting around! It was a fun FS geography lesson for me because I've hardly ever flown in that part of the world. Good luck with your flightplans.
