    Default Just Flight 747 200/300

Hello I hope someone can answer this question. I know I should probably ask it on the just flight forums but they don't seem to be very active. I just purchased the f-lite 747 from just flight, and so far I gotta say I like the aircraft but I had a question about using the FMC. I have the 757 freemium and with the fmc you can load an fsx fligh plan directly into it and it will give you all the waypoints. Can you do this with the Lite FMC in the 747? How do you load a flight plan into the fmc so that it will display the info like in the 757? Also I am having trouble lifting off the ground I have a yooke that I use to fly and it has a trim nob wich I have set to the highest setting for nose up but for some reason can't get off the ground even when going over 200knts which I know is no right.

    Thanks.

You should be able to normally load an FSX FPLN first, then open the Lite FMC, and just click the F-PLN key to display all the FPLN waypoints. Have you tried this already? Also, note that this plane comes w/ a choice of two panels: one conventional (Lite) FMC based and the other INS based. Please refer to the manuals for more details.

I have not flown this recently to remember take-off/trim issue you have mentioned. I'll give it a try later.

Yes, per the manual/tutorial, try setting the Fuel to 50%, STAB Trim to about 5 units, and FLAP to 20. You should be able to lift-off OK.

You may later like to calibrate the Trim knob on your Yoke.

just wanted to let you guys know I was able to lift off the ground when I set the trim to 5. I think I had it in the wrong position before and even though I had it set up right on my yoke I had it set in the wrong position in the cockpit. n
Haven't had a chance to make a flight yet just a crime to 7000 feet. but plan to do one tomorrow. Just a quick question. When flying the freemium 757 when using the autopilot I ususlly can select a maxium bank angle when the plane is turning. So usually I have it on a higher bank angle righg after takeoff so that my turns are a lot steeper and as I climb higher and I take the seatbelts signs off I make sure that the plane doesn't bank at more than a 5 or 10 degree angle. (Wouldn't want the passengers to spill there drinks when turning into a new waypoint.) Is there a way I can set this in the 747 I didnt see it on the autopilot panel?

    jt23:

The autopilot HDG knob does not seem to have a tunable max bank angle selector. If you wish, you can set the the max bank angle (max_bank=) in the aircraft.cfg file. It is currently set to a standard value of 25.0. Don't forget to back-up any file before making custom changes.

So far, although being the pilot in command of the cockpit, I have not been able to get a beverage for myself no matter how many times I press the FA button...I'm glad you have already served drinks to your PAX.......
