Thread: Install to E:/Flight Simulator 9 on Win 7 x64 does not generate license file: CTD

  1. Default Install to E:/Flight Simulator 9 on Win 7 x64 does not generate license file: CTD

    Hi,

I installed the DF 727 CD version to E:/Flight Simulator 9 on Win 7 (x64) without any problems. However the required license file (727ga.lic) was not generated and so I got an immediate CTD when trying to load the aircraft. I applied the Flight One repair registry fix on my system, to no avail.

However, when I installed on another computer on my network (also Win 7 x64), where FS9 is located at C:/FS Files/Flight Simulator 9, the license files were generated and the aircraft could be successfully loaded.

Is there any way I can get the license files generated on the system where FS9 is located at E:/Flight Simulator 9 on Win 7 (x64).....this is my main (server) system and the only place from which I can realistically operate the aircraft.

    Thank you for your help.

I can only suggest trying again. I've done the same using the CD to install to F:\FS9 with no issue.

    Hey Guys,

    New i2700k Sandy Win7x64 Build...

One of the first planes I loaded was the 727 - LOL - of course...

Anyone ever see this error - I tried the "fix" in the link above - and - I've tried numerous installs - from the wrapper...

    No joy...

The plane loads in the Sim and I can fly it - I just can't use the config manager...

I installed FS9 on an External Drive which I designated as E. I have been fully successful in this effort in making everything work. The reason I did this I'm sure is obvious. If my computer crashes and a reinstall becomes necessary I will not have wiped out FS9. My question here is that the only thing that doesn't work is the DF 727. I can sucessfully install it but like the original poster it will crash to the desktop even with the license copied from the drive where it resides.

I realize that it has been years since the release of this package which is when I "downloaded" the purchased and registered product. Is there any chance of purchasing "CD Version" even though years have elapsed. I am operating successfully on Windows 7 with FS9.
