All I can say is great job RealAir for what you did in designing the Lancair Legacy for FSX, thanks Rob and the guys. I've only flown a couple of hours in this amazing bird and I can see the effort put into it. Beautifully rendered, smooth edges and flies like a dream. If you want to support a good company putting out high quality, with a FSX ceiling raising experience, RealAir IMHO deserves it. It great to see third-party companies still pushing the envelope of FSX's capabilities. My last three aircraft purchases have been the Vertigo Studios Vans RV8, great for short runways and excursions, the A2A P-51 Mustang with Accusim, simply awesome throughout and the RealAir Lancair Legacy. I look in my hanger and can hardly wait to setup a flight plan to get up in the air, again.
Happy flying,
CA

I don't think I've commented here before, but simply had to comment on this.
Bought the Lancair Legacy the other day. I didn't even know it was available until then. I haven't stopped flying it since. It is indeed stunning, has beautiful lines, and feels great to fly. IMHO all the "eye candy" like chocks, luggage, GPU's and removable pilots is a total waste of developer time. They NEVER work properly in multiplayer anyway, and in some cases, totally screw up the multiplayer experience. RealAir have done a fantastic job with this model, and I can't see myself flying anything else for quite some time. It does everything I want a GA craft to do, and gets 5 stars from me.
I don't have "best" aircraft in my hanger, I just have "favourites". This Legacy is my current favourite. Well done realAir, nice work indeed.

I was going to buy but when the tax was added it became too expensive for me ; I bought the Carenado B90 instead.
Pricing is just getting silly in these recessionary times.
In terms of aesthetics, I'm not the biggest Lancair fan. However, for years (going back to FS2002), the RealAir SF260 has been my definitive go-to aircraft for single engine GA flying (especially when I was taking flight lessons). Because the SF260 was second to none in terms of flight dynamics, I decided to get the Legacy as well. The RealAir products, especially in regards to flight dynamics, are completely polished. They leave so few, if any, imperfections in their aircraft. Being a developer myself, I can only imagine the amount of tedious effort the guys have to put into tuning the dynamics in order to meet their own expectations. I wouldn't have thought the Legacy could be all that much better than the SF260, but they have really packed in enough incremental improvements that the overall increase in fidelity is noticeable. Even though I like the looks of the SF260, the Legacy will definitely be my go-to single engine GA from here on out.
