Thread: First REX Essentials flight!

    Default First REX Essentials flight!

wanted to post a few quick photos of my first flight using REX Essentials in the default Beech King Air 350. This was KGNV to KJAX. It looks great! It seems as though the clouds have more depth and are more transparent. Enjoy!

    Very nice. Thanks for posting.

Do you observe any appreciable/noticeable difference in PC performance (positive or negative) compared to REX 2?

not while flying but I have noticed that flights do take longer to load, probably about 30 to 50 percent longer, actually. It's worth the wait to me though

Actually my flight was smoother in REX ESS.
As for texture loading time, it is actually quicker in my case.

    Thanks, guys.

It surely looks like they have improved the cloud textures. Frankly, I couldn't have told the difference between the 3rd/4th snapshots given by lanepulcini from real-life pictures. They indeed look authentic. I'm generally a bit weary of REX while running more demanding sims on my moderate PC Specs, but this (free) upgrade is clearly worth going for...
