Thread: Learning curve/how to wing views

Default Learning curve/how to wing views

I usually fly 737;s mostly, but since I am from the Lockheed Electra Era, I have been consumed with All Electras for FS9, lately.
I'd rather fly an Electra than a PMDG 1900 any day. Wingviews for FSX, but I can't find any for SF9. I know there are some out there.
I have the Windows views installed in the panel file with all the views, Right, Left, Rear Right, Left rear right, etc. But I cannot figure out how I can get the wing and nacelles to show up in the views that I have installed in my panel file. I know they are bmp files, but how do I get pics of wings and nacelles. I can get pics through Paint, but I cannot get into the right angle to get wing and nacelles in the view. I'm sure there has to be an easier way.

    Thanx for anyones reply.

I dont think wing views are supported in FS9, the only views you get by default is panel,vc,tower and spot. Customised views were added in FSX.

    Hi,

Wing views are supported in FS9, but they are done differently. They are placed in the panel.cfg file. Unfortunately, they require that the VC contains all elements in the views, and since I don't know of any FS9 Electras that have VC's then typical wing views are not possible, sorry. As for using BMP's (i.e. like 2D cockpit side views, etc.) I guess this may be possible, but I've never seen it.

    Hope this helps,

Tom, about that, you may be right, but there must be other requirements besides having a vc in order to create wing views, the pmdg 747 has a vc, like the iFly 737, but we can't create wing views for them.

To answer the post, one way to create wing views for planes is to get DBS walk and follow, that is how I get mine.
