That is what happens when you rely on Jepp data. If you want better weather you need to ditch the default MS stuff.
I was never going to argue that point. It's still pretty strange though.

Any other generic FS weather users can either back me up or slam me down? Is my computer the only place where these goofy reports are appearing?

Thanks Jim. After I got your post I went back and took another look. It still is showing heavy snow. Then I got the brilliant thought that well, maybe the problem is I almost always check it using the map. So I went to user-defined weather and check it there, the same way you did. No difference; I'm still showing heavy snow.

So now we get confirmation of what we have all known all along; Tres is an idiot. But in what way is Tres an idiot and how does Tres fix this problem?

I really figured it was just some goofy Jepps thing. What to my surprise do I come to see but it's just a goofy Tres thing. But how do I fix it?

What does your weather download show? Not what shows in a flight, but on that same weather screen.

Maybe your browser cache needs to be cleared out?
    Thanks,

    Jim

Okay, I said "user defined" in the previous post. I should have said "real world". I know the difference. But what I do is, I go into user defined to move around the map even though I always fire it up using real-world weather. I was just going to edit the post, but could that have something to do with it? I wouldn't have thought so but surely something is going on here. I trust I'm making myself obscure.

I don't know where you got that, I can't see where anyone in this thread has implied such. BTW, here's a thread where another user is apparently having some issues with RWW today:

Maybe there's something odd going on with the Jepp data today?

Okay, but don't forget I'm the representative of the dummies club; what is a browser cache?

It's a folder that contains data that your web browser has accumulated. Depending on your browser there is an option to clear this folder.

Another question: When you start FS do you directly go into a saved flight or the Set up a Flight screen?
    Thanks,

    Jim

    Okay, thanks.

I start up almost exactly the same way every time: first, I select the saved flight which I am going to continue with. So, yes, nearly always a saved flight. Certainly the case with this weather issue.

First thing I do is pick the date and time, usually dawn on the day in question. Next thing; get the real world weather. Then resave the flight and continue. Optionally, I may reset. That's just a carryover from the FS 9 days, I don't think it's necessary with this computer but frequently I do it anyway because I'm superstitious.

Here's the weather I just got at one of the nearby airports. The one I am at, São Paulo, is having bluebird weather at the moment.

Heavy snow with a temperature of 65°F? Obviously ridiculous! But what IS going on?
