if you looked at the pictures given in the download you probably would not have installed. You want some real nice freeware grass textures, this is what I use..... Real Environment Xtreme Freeware

Also if you like those textures, try buying REX 2.0 (FSX), REX (FS9) and REX Plane (XPlane 10) its certainly worth it, and if you get it before they release Essentials (coming soon!) you get Essentials for FREE when its released!

spartan, I believe those REX textures you mention are for FSX only.

    Correction.

I've just slipped the detail1.bmp in to my FS9 and it seems to work.

A bit harsh. And just one opinion. I'm sure the person who created this was quite proud, and I hope such expression of opinion doesn't deter them from further work. I have, like most fs enthusiasts, tried numerous textures over the years; some I liked better than others, some seemed more appropriate to certain regions than others; and I appreciate the efforts of anyone who's contributed something to our hobby.

i was not trying to be harsh by saying "check the pictures before downloading" I was just passing off info that helps free bandwidth and saves people time. I personally did not care for it, but as you saw below the REX grass works in FS9 as well as FSX and its really well done.

I think the comment by jgf was directed at the first post in this thread.

Try flying above 5000 and look down everything including roads are green i installed this for airport grass textures not the whole landscape as far as that pic goes it looks like a remote control plane on my lawn.
