Any thoughts about all the other off topic posts in this thread?

Maybe quote the first part of his post where he does talk about the topic at hand.

    Sorry, no jab here.
    Thanks,

    Jim

nope, no other thoughts, none of the other off topic posts in this thread contained personal attacks

would not have altered the context, Jacoba could have stopped after the first part of that post, his opinion would have been expressed and no personal attack would have been made.

p.s. no need to call me Capt folks, Capt Flappers is just a name my wife teases me with because of my flight sim obsession.

You are both confused because you think there is a jab somewhere in this thread and in reality there is none, hence the "no jab" comment.
    Thanks,

    Jim

...Flight is a game, targeted at kids and Xbox gamer types...

The sooner all of you figure that out and decide if you want a game or a simulation, the better off you will be....
Jab? Personally I think it is a simple statement of fact! ...Don

that is your opinion, just as Jacoba expressed his opinion that it is a game, but he worded it in such a way that he insinuates that the folks posting on this thread that don't see it as a game (which by the way I didn't see any posts on this thread of folks saying it was a simulator) are not smart enough to figure it out for themselves, i.e. a jab. some folks might see it as a game, some might see it as a simulator. I see it as a game also, I don't use it anymore, but I certainly would not denigrate any one who thinks of it as a simulator, to each his own. I think anybody using Flight is smart enough to figure out on their own what it is to them. Whatever it is to you, that's what it is.

I used the original MS Flight Simulator when it first came out, but I haven't used any of their in-between products up to now. Perhaps that's why I'm less demanding, but to me, Flight is just as much a flight simulator as the original MS Flight Simulator was. The main difference to me is that the graphics are (obviously) much better.
