    Default Re install FSX ?

I've installed FSX three times on my computer now. First time then once for a different OS. Did not like that so am back to XP Home and there fore that was the third install.

Just in case how many times will Bill & Company let me re install FSX before I get the axe.

    Hi,

I've also installed FSX about three times (I think) and now I can't anymore. After the first time, I've had to re-install/activate it again twice when my computer has crashed. I now want to install it on another OS but I can't.

So I am pretty sure the maximum amount you can install it is three times, however, apparently there is a certain period in which you have to wait to re-install it again - I think it's 4 or 6 months.

I have the Deluxe Edition if that makes a difference

Luckily I've only had to re-install only once. I have read through the forum on several occasions that the period between installs is 60 days. If memory serves, after the third re-install I think you have to call the Help line phone number to get authorization to re-install and activate again.

I think there is a limit of the number of installations within a set time period. I have installed FSX using the same registration code more than 3 times over the 5 or 6 yrs I have had it and never have had issues.

I have lost count of the number times I have reinstalled FSX.

I have installed it on a number of different computers too, but only on one at a time, as when updating my system hardware or OS.

If it doesn't activate using the automatic system, you just have to ring an automated freephone number, which appears on your screen, and input a series of numbers, and activation is the result.

    No problem.

They just dont like it if you try to use the activation number on more than one computer at a time, which is fair enough.

    Hi,

If you have a problem reinstalling FSX (or any other soft from MS), just call the Microsoft support. They will provide you with a new key or a new DVD if needed. Aren't they nice people ?
