Thread: Well, looks like this is it....

Default Well, looks like this is it....

    Hey all....

I think I've finally come to the end of the road for Flight Simming.

I really did enjoy it the last 10 years that I have been doing it, but I just have lost interest at the moment. It's been fun here in the forums, and for the most part, the members are a great bunch and a lot of help.

If I do return, I'll be sure to be back here posting away again in the screen shot forums.

See, since these headaches, 20-30 minute flights just don't cut it for me anymore. The engine noise even on low get to me with the vibrations from the sound, and well, it just kind of ruins the whole hobby.

I'll still fly my Realflight G5.5, so may post shots from there over in the screen shot forum from time to time.

In the mean time everyone, continue to enjoy the hobby, I'm outta here. (For now, anyway, and I do mean it this time ;-)) but in a good way. By no means is this a gripe, or complaint towards anything. It's been one fun ride.

    Johnny,

You've added a lot of dynamic energy to this forum with thoughtful questions and provocative comments. I'm sorry your physical issues are causing you to leave us and I hope you find relief. We will miss your wit and dedication.

    fare well, Cal

Don't give up.......try looking into alternative medicine or nutritional supplements. Traditional doctors don't always offer the best medicine or solution.

John, while I understand the reasoning behind it I wish you would at least hang around the screenshot forum, even if you don't post it's always nice to see you there.I don't post much myself lately mostly because I'm busy doing other things right now but what with the few people I call "friend" I don't like to lose any if I can help it!I wish you the best finding help for the headaches and don't give up on what just one or two doctors tell you, keep at em til they find the bloody reason for them! You have my personal email,if you ever need to talk, you know how to get ahold of me....all the best Amigo!

    Good Luck John.
If it's mainly the noise, you can spend a little time once in awhile flying sailplanes and gliders, you don't really need the windnoise
    to enjoy them.

In case that works for you, there are many excellent gliders and sailplanes made by Rick Piper, all freeware

    John,

I hope you'll feel better soon. I didn't hear from you on the forums for a while and was getting worried. I'm sure sorry you have to take a break. Like many others have said, I hope you'll check with other Drs.

I just got my first long term FSX install going, I'll miss you 'til you come back.
