Thread: World Of A.I problems

  1. Default World Of A.I problems

I have been trying to install A.I aircraft packages from WOAI into FS9 running under Windows 7.The package is installed ok according to the WOAI dialog box, however, when I go to an appropriate airport there are no aircraft? I checked my aircraft library and the folder is there. The sub folders include AIRCRAFT and SCENERY. In an attempt to get things working I manually moved the scenery file to FS9-SCENERY-WORLD-SCENERY.I then took the individual aircraft out of the parent AIRCRAFT FOLDER so they were now all up a level(if that makes sense).I run FS9 again but it made no difference.
Can anyone tell me how to sort the problem please! ( WOAI worked fine on WIN XP)

    Hi,

WOAI works the same under Win 7 as it does under XP. Use the installer and don't move a single file around.

What folder is there in your aircraft library? Each WOAI plane ends up in it's own folder and there is no sub folders called Aircraft and Scenery.

You didn't by chance tell the installer just to extract the packages for manual installation did you?

It looks like you are not using the installer properly.
    Thanks,

    Jim

Hi Aerovan, it would be interesting to see what you ended up with after installion, as Jim mentioned all those sub folders should not exist, perhaps you could post a screenshot of the file structure and you are using the version 2.0 of the installer? at least not inside a WOAI installation.
One tip might be to look inside the flight plan and see exactly where (Airport) and when(GMT) a particular plane should be standing, you have TTools in your WOAI installion, then you would know if it actually is there where it is supposed to be.

Edit: It bothered me somewhat so i had another look but it is MAIW that often offers to install adddon scenery with its AI files and not as far as i know WOAI.

Win7 you need to make sure you right click the WOAI installer and select run as administrator you might want to go to properties, security and make sure all permission's are checked ...

Moving out other aircraft makes no sense, because every aircraft in FS is AI, user, or both. Maybe this cuestion sounds stupid, but do you have traffic percent set to 100%, and airline traffic enabled?
