I'm confused, I prepare for takeoff the exact same way every time on the pmdg 737, and sometimes LNAV will engage before takeoff and sometimes it wont. I have a feeling I'm leaving out a step when it doesn't but I can't seem to figure out what I am leaving out when it doesn't work. Is there something that I am possibly missing or do some versions of the 737 just not engage LNAV before takeoff like in the tutorial?

The first waypoint needs to be within 5 degrees of the runway heading.
