Thread: No WOAI Traffic Landing!

I know I was supposed to uninstall them like that, but now that I have so many reinstalled I really don't want to have to uninstall/reinstall so
many of them . I read that there is a file called "WOAIDATAX" and I made sure to get rid of that before I reinstalled all the packages last time so I could try to completely start over with a new "WOAIDATAX" file. But the problem still exists.

About duplicate files, when I converted my WOAI files to FSX, it made a duplicate file in the same folder (scenery/world/scenery) with the suffix "FSX" added to each traffic file. Do you think that could be it? I don't think so because the problem was there before I did this.

When I said disappear, I meant that they take off and when they get far enough away from the airport they disappear like normal. So I don't think there is a problem there.

For an example of my problem, I went to Amsterdam yesterday and there were lots of planes at the gates and a long line for takeoff. But the whole hour I was there (with some fast forwarding) only two planes landed, I believe. That is not normal. There should be almost as many landings as takeoffs.

Hope you can help me and I gave enough information!

Anybody? I really want to fix this problem....I have a screenshot that may or may not relate to the problem. It's when you go to top-down view in FSX, instead of the whole world showing in "satellite" view, there is just a sort of box around where my aircraft is currently located. It started when my WOAI landing problem began.

Anybody know why and how it might contribute to my WOAI problem??

I'm just spit balling here, but I think you are over-taxing your system. 200+ WOAI is a lot to handle, especially at the busier airports. Rather than un-installing the WOAI planes, just remove the WOAI flight plan BGLs to a safe directory. Does that correct your problem? Also, when was the last time you defragged the drive FSX is on?

Thanks for your response. I will try that later and get back to you....

Okay, what do you mean by "moving them to a safe directory"?? Do you mean put them anywhere else except the FSX folder? Because I thought they had to be in that certain place (scenery/world/scenery)....

About defragging, would a free one work? I found one on "auslogics.com" and it seems to be good.

WOAI & FS have problems when set to high density where over time they will dissappear, I suggest you check out AI Smooth, its free and it works well, should resolve your problems.

AI Smooth Download 1.2 (Make sure you have FSUPIC 4+ installed)

What do you think that would have to do with my problem? Why would it only affect landings?

I know that on the ground I have seen AI disappear after a set time, they would likely disappear on landings as they are entering an "area trigger" which if overloaded will cause them to disappear as a result, AI Smooth makes AI clutter less and helps stop this. FSX can only render so much at once due to engine limitations.

    Guys,

AI traffic disappear upon touchdown when there are no available parking spots for the plane. It has nothing to do with system resources. Now, the textures may take more time loading, but the planes will not just all of a sudden disappear. The fix for this is to provide more parking spaces either using files or reducing traffic sliders or spreading out the AI traffic.

The engine limitations of FSX does not include the scaling of AI traffic, but other aspects of the sim.
    Thanks,

    Jim

I still don't see how that would relate to my problem - why are there planes at the gates and taking off but none or almost none landing or in the air flying by? It's a very strange issue....
