Thread: No selection to duplicate display?

Default No selection to duplicate display?

This one surprised me. Maybe one of you have come across this in the past.

I just completed a new multi-media pc build consisting of an AMD 6970 card, a 27" display and a 60" Sharp HDTV. Both displays have a resolution of 1900x1080. All I wish to do is have both displays show the same image (duplicate). Pretty straight forward setup. Yet, using the latest AMD Vision Engine Control Center, under Desktop Management, it sees both displays but I have no option to set the 60" to Duplicate mode? It only offers to Extend or Replace.

I have the 27" connected via one of the DVI connections and the 60" connected using the HDMI. Using Windows 7.

    HELP!

    thx,

I believe that AMD uses the Eyefinity to set up multiple monitors. I am still learning this technology myself for is on my current FS system.

Here is link about setup: http://www.amd.com/us/products/techn...es/set-up.aspx

Here is link of FAQ's: http://www.amd.com/us/products/techn...ages/faqs.aspx

Hope this helped, if you figure it out let me know because I looking at doing about the same.

Thx for the reply but I know using Eyefinity would not be the choice I want as that would make it one seamless view.

I figured out part of your issue.

I just set up a 42" LG TV as part of my setup. I went into the AMD VISION Engine Control Center.

Look for Common Display Tasks and click on it. You will see a list of items and at the bottom is the menu for Set Main Desktop and click on it. You can choose which monitor to use as the main one.

I now have my Dell 24" as the main and the LG as the secondary. The only thing that I find odd is you move the cursor to the left rather than the right to get to the other screen .

Try it and see what you get and let me know if this works.
