The problem may not be a win7 problem, but this morning everything had moved to monitor two, and an error message that "windows cannot detect Samsung monitor". So, I go through the routine of deteting monitors, and lo and behold, the samsung is detected, and everything moved back to monitor 1 as it should be. I've run multi-monotors for more years than I can recall, and have never had this problem.
