WOW--Flight Simming can get expensive

Hey guys,
I've not flown FS for over a year now (because my Windows machine died and I've switched to Mac) but I really miss it and itching to get back as soon as I can buy a new, fast Windows pc that will run FSX well. I previously flew FS 2004 but see no reason to not go to FSX when I get a new pc.

All that said, I went shopping for the planes and scenery I would like to have and was a bit surprised when I saw the total. But if you wanna play you gotta pay!

Yes it is...I've noticed many of the aircraft addons are getting near$70.00+. I personally love everything that Carenado has- excellent models.

Buying everything at once is expensive. I shop the sales and try to master one aircraft set at a time. And many of my favorites were/are free. It's a great hobby!

Actually I did leave off a few items. I last flew with a Wingman joystick, this time around I would like to get a yolk and pedals. What is that another $200?

You see, I'm fortunate to have brother who is a real life Gulfstream II pilot. But that's part of the problem too. I have flown with him in a lot of different aircraft up through the years and that makes me want them. Fortunately FSX has several of them.

Here are the ones I can think of:

Cessna 172
Cessna Centurion Turbo
Cessna 310 (twin)
Cessna 421 (twin)
Turbo Commander (twin) Bad a__ plane , it would nail you to your seat on takeoff.
King Air 90 (twin)
Learjet 23 (this was THE actual first Lear to get FAA approval, I'm talking the plane not just the model) the tail # ended in BA. Nicknamed Bad A__
Learjet 25
Learjet 35
And of course I've flown Southwest so add Boeing 737
DC 9 (American)
MD80 (American)
I guess that is all, I've yet to fly in the Gulfstream II; though I really would like too.

You recommend dropping Ultimate Terrain X and get GEX?
