I'm installing the MS Security Essentials program. It was saying if you have any other antivirus or anti spyware programs they highly recommend that you uninstall them because they can cause conflicts and performance problems. So does that mean that Spybot is a bad idea? I've always had spybot, can I still run spybot?

They are talking about other anti-virus programs that run in the background all the time (basically other anti-virus programs like NOD32, Norton McAffee etc), not ones that you run manually once a week like Spybot or Malwarebytes. Having two anti-virus programs actively running and scanning in the background could cause programs for one or both programs and/or the system.

Thanks loki that's a relief, I'll install Spybot also. I just finished installing FSX DLX + Xpack, and activated both of them. Hope I don't have to do this again for a while. Now I can finally install the PMDG 747. And some payware. What a long journey to get to this point.

Do you guys use Active Sky? Everyone is using Rex, or Rex 2, or Rex Overdrive, as I understand it, and they are extremely popular. I was wondering which has the very best weather engine? How do they differ?

I am installing my first PMDG 747, first payware plane. It's been sitting in my drawer for several months waiting for all this to come together. It was really nice of you guys to come to my assistance. Flew my first takeoff and landing in the PMDG 747, great fun.
