I've truly no opinion (a remarkable situation indeed) about the new look, it's neither better nor worse than the old; but everything is still where it was and that's good. Perusing the forums is noticeably faster now, and I doubt anyone will complain of that.

And I see there's a 'Complete Aircraft' category in File Library>New files which makes searching easier by not including livery files in there..
(Or was it in the old site too and I never noticed it?)

Any way to speed up a little??
What browser are you using? I've found the new site generally faster than the old one. Certainly haven't had trouble with it being slower.

The old site was slow, the new one is fast and slick..

    That was available before.

Oh right, but now I see it only covers the last 3 months of New Files anyway and doesn't cover all the older stuff around which is still a confusing mix of full aircraft and liveries.
I'd volunteer to separate it all out for you but I'm not too hot on the techy side of things, I only know how to waggle my joystick and press a few keys to make my little planes go wheeeeee!

There is no need to separate it out. All you need to do is use the tools we already provide, namely the basic search and advanced search. People frequently ask for some special way of finding files and almost every time we already have that ability, it's just a matter of doing the proper search.

Please take a look at the advanced search, it's pretty amazing the kinds of searches you can do with it.

Just remember that things like the new files lists are nothing more than the results of a specific search. If you don't like that search, just do your own to get exactly the list you want.

REALLY!! Wow! Today I am timing. It's taking at least 15 seconds from click on the link to when the
page shows. I can't get into the new files listing at all even after waiting 30 seconds. It just sits there.
Click and nothing happens. no new fsx files, no new fs9 files, no nothing.
This is great. I paid some good grocery money to this site and now I can't go anywhere and the forum is
so slow it's boring to even mess with.
    Are we having fun yet?

Elcamino, what browser are you using? Do you have any ad blockers or other browser extensions installed?

A week or so ago I posted the following:

"One thing I noticed that is very different, old versus new. On the old site, when you had visited a thread, the thread title changed from blue to black. It made it much easier to browz the forums that way as you could easily see what you had looked at on previous visite. Will there be a feature on the new site that accomplishes the same objective?"

That post met with an immediate response from a moderator:

"That feature is still here. Unread thread titles are bolded."

Well, several days later I can say that's not so, at least it's not so on my computer, There is no distinction between an unread and a read thread. Makes it very confusing a few days down the pike as to which threads have been looked at on which forums. Am I the only one with this problem?
