Actually, do this at home, not in the real world......

707 low approach to a carrier anchored right out side the Golden Gate.

Sporty visual approach, you can't see the carrier til just before you pop over the ridge, then its a slight diving bid for the deck. The bridge in the background and high terrain off the nose makes for a sporty low approach.

Most fun I've had to date in FSX.

And the downwind leg for a second (ok sixth try) result in my first, unprogrammed emergency.....the nose gear failed to retract.

It just doesn't get any better than this

Looks like a real rush! Do you have collisions turned off?
I've tried similar things, but the collision boxes in FSX are miles from the object.
I am now fearful of getting anywhere near a bridge or other structure. — Bob

No problems getting near bridges or structures (I just can't ignore a good bridge fly under, the temptation is just too great) but I have noticed with big airpalne appraoches to carriers, the nose always wants to push off the left on short final. Kinda weird (like two magnets pushing away from each other), fight that ever time I make an approach......................
