On Wednesday afternoon (April 25th, 2012) I decided to try FSX again. I had loaded Skagit Regional Airport (KBVS) recently, but haven't flown into it but a few times... actually I've hardly flown in FSX very much at all. But I have been seeing all of these wonderful posts by my friends of the PNW region, and I decided it was time I flew some. So here is the results of my flight. I have to admit I was quite happy with the results.
BTW, I now have my EVGA graphics card back again from the warranty RMA. So glad it is back and fixed!
~ The Strangest Thing Ever in a Skylane ~
A short, routine pattern circuit at Skagit Regional Airport goes all wrong
.
This my new desktop image. It is my new favorite screenshot!
It was a very hazy day weather-wise in Washington state on Wednesday afternoon.
I love this picture of the Skylane over the lake area. It shows off the airplane's sexy curves.
This one I had to really lower the "quality" slider to make it fit the pixel limits. I wish you could see the full-size resolution of 1920x1200. It's amazing.
Yes, that little green stripe @ top of screen is the ASE weather software updating the weather stream data. I only fly with "online real-time" weather generation.
This one looks almost real. I was very pleased with it. The GeForce GTX550ti videocard is amazing!
As I got lower, the air cleared up and visibility improved dramatically.
Have you ever tried to get this airplane "down"? It's quite the effort.
The Orbx details in the ground scenery is just outstanding! I really liked this shot too.
Yes, the weather is updating again with new data.
Touchdown! notice the beautiful, low clouds in this picture... the sun's rays are peeking thru over the airplane. I just thought this was a really nice, unexpected effect.
WTF??? How on earth did this just happen? One moment I'm roling to a stop, and the next thing I know the nose begins slowing lifting into the air. When the plane shuddered to a gentle stop, I switched to outside view and was surprised to find THIS. I've never had that happen before. Has this happened to anyone else?
Thank you for viewing. I hope you enjoyed the flight.

@ pchmck: Thanks so much Peter.
@ boxcar: Thanks David! I usually am really careful about things like that, but must admit I forgot this time. I discovered a whole bunch of 1-gallon paint cans full of "Pink" paint, 2 concrete blocks and a large mallet... all crammed into the aft storage section. Hmmmm... Something fishy going on here I think.

@ azzaro: BUSTED!!!!!! Yes, I have to admit... in this great bunch of guys, (I) would probably stand out as the so-called strangest one here (in more ways
Gopher???? What Gopher?!! Is that the "bump" I felt just before I stopped? Oh goodness gracious, what am I going to do now? Is it illegal to stop a plane on top of a Gopher in Washington state? LOL
