Default FS2004 played with a Mouse?

Hi folks, I was wondering as FSX can be flown with a mouse, is it the same with FS2004?

I've dug out my FS2004 and add-ons and just wanted to ask as I didn't want to install all my FS2004 stuff and find I can't fly it hehe.. I don't have a joystick.

    Best wishes and safe flying!

    Come on Karl !!!!!!

Get a joystick, which is the least you can do to resemble a real flight, when real planes are flown with mouse, then it is okey to use a mouse in FSxxxxx

No, the default FS04 cannot be flown with the mouse as in FSX.
    Thanks,

There is a gauge which allows you to use a mouse for control, though if I remember correctly it only works in win2k and XP. You might also try a key reassignment utility, assigning the flight control keys to the mouse.

I flew FS2002 and continue to fly FS2004 with only a mouse. I have NEVER had a joystick connected to my Flight Sim computer at any time in close to a decade of simming.

Well I can't find where the settings are for calibrating the mouse, but its not a problem really, I have a Saitek Flight Control System buried somewhere. I never thought I would feel comfortable flying with a mouse, but after trying FSX and the MS Flight, not only does it feel pretty good, its not so much a pain setting the stick n throttle up on my desk and balancing my keyboard somewhere below the monitor

    Thanks for your replies guys
