Thread: A true classic in flight

Default A true classic in flight

    This is why I fly

This is the DC-3 from Leading Edge Simulations. Got it today and it really is a superb aircraft. Just make sure you have a fast computer and you're in for a treat.

Again, hope you like the pictures

Amazing detail on that DC-3 and nice screen shots, I am guessing that is X-Plane.

    Yes, it's X-Plane 10. It's really coming along nicely.

The whole experience is truly amazing and there are some great add-ons available. This is version 10 which requires a pretty reasonable computer, but X-Plane 9; which can still take your breath, requires a lot less horse power. You'll find that most add-ons you purchase have two versions included, one for X-Plane 9 and one for 10. I still have FSX and many add-ons for it, especially ORBX scenery, but I'm finding that I'm spending more and more time in X-Plane. Both are really great though.

That is a beauty of a DC-3 is it available for FSX or is it an X-P exclusive? Great shots too!

Just X-Plane at the moment, but you never know

The textures really show off the detail.

The lighting in the cockpit is just, (in the words of wifey)...................chocolate

I've been flying a lot of X-Plane at the moment. Shame the ATC is still quite quirky. Hope they still improve it.

Nice screens. Now it's time to count the rivets.
