Thread: A few questions.

  1. Default A few questions.

I see flight has upgrade. The only reason I know this is when lo and behold I see them on steam. I like steam because your stuff is always there 4 u 2 get if your computer goes down or hard drive crash etc. What does it mean when people say that the zero has no cockpit? You can only fly it in outside view? I have flight through ms games but I already have the whole island of Hawaii so why would I buy it again 4 2 planes? Why is everyone so hostile and hateful here? All of the negative post about this game has me thinking I don't want to spend anymore money on this. I am scared that money will be lost or I will get locked out or something. The only way for me to see world is through computer can't go outside. I like sims because I can go anywhere. THank u for help. I love you all.

The hostility stems from disappointment. I was very, very, vociferous about what Flight isn't.
Once I realised I was not going to enjoy the immersion factor that was present in previous FS versions, I started looking at Flight for what it is.
Yes it's Gamey(pun? maybe!), but, once I got it running decent, it looks wonderful, and I've enjoyed it enough to use it regularly. Nowhere near as much as FSX though.
I made the decision that I'd wait until Alaska was released, and reviewed by the more hardcore users, before investing in any DLC at all.
If MS Flight shows a dedication to quality with their expansions, and gives a modicum of immersion, it will have a permanent place on my computer.

The Hawaii expansion finishes the whole chain of Islands, so, IMO, considering any other FS payware region, the included planes are a bonus...Don

Thanks 4 reply's. Yes Google earth is nice. Now that flight is on steam I am happy. What does it mean someone said zero has no cockpit? How is the maul? I have Hawaii and love it.

The Zero has no virtual cockpit. Meaning, you fly the aircraft from a view outside and behind the aircraft vs. from inside the cockpit.

I really like the Maule. Serious flaps. Short take off and landing. Faster than the Icon. Much better visability over the nose than the Stearman and GREAT visability out the sides thanks to the clear doors. Turn off the stability and propeller enhancements in the options and it becomes a really good plane to fly.

I'm with you GK. Love the Maule. Nice to be able to fly a "modern" aircraft in Flight.
