    Smile Free Ford Tri-Motor Scenery

    Hi Good People,

Just a quick note to let you know that the people on the FS2004 Ford Tri-Motor Project have released some new scenery.

The scenery package is for the Ford Airport aircraft factory circa 1930's - in Dearborn MI - it has been rendered as
close as possible to the historical field and endeavours to capture the essence of the period.

This scenery includes many unique models developed specifically for the Project - many of them by the renouned expert
model builder Sidney Schwarts. Sid graciously gifted his time and effort to the project and made some outstanding historical models for this unique period in aviation history.

This scenery pack, and all of the other stuff at http://www.ford-tri-motor.net, is free for FS2004 simmers to enjoy a slice of history that was a fundamental period in aviation.

For those that want a closer look at the details of the Ford Airport project - below is a link to a slideshow:

Thank you for the link. The field had become a small automotive test track by the time I was growing up, we would ride over on our bicycles and watch through the fence.

Ford Tri-Motor-Update - 30 Vega Liveries and 3 new Scenery Packs

    Hi Good People,

Been a bit quite on the Ford Tri-Motor Project front for the last couple of months - I had to digress into a special project for one of the major FS companies - but back to the Ford Project with a big batch of Vega liveries and 3 new scenery packs ready for your entertainment.

30 new Vega liveries released from 11 July 2012 till now.

And, three new scenery packs. Consisting of 2 historical packs and one "fantasy" pack.

    The historical ones are:

    (1) Konigsberg - released on the 17 July 2012

    Preview Picture

    (2) Danzig - Released on the 01 August 2012- this one included a pack of 7 AI sets.

    Preview Picture

    (3) St Pauls Island - this is a fantasy rendition of a island fishing village and airfield

    Preview Picture

Feel free to pop on over to the Ford-Tri-Motor site - check out the Vega's and the Scenery on their relevant pages - lots and lots of hard work by both Edward and I to generate this FREE stuff for your enjoyment.

Hope there is something in the recent batch that will enrich your flight sim experiences.

For those that are not aware of the Ford-Tri-Motor project - it has been building for a couple of years and there is now well over 500 liveries for several aircraft and 17 different scenery packs now available - all for FREE - just a couple of dedicated fanatics generating all of this with the occassional input by some experts in various fields such as Sid Schwarts with some seriously good quality models for the Ford Airfield project. And he spent a bucket of time teaching me how to make my own models for simming. - that opened a Pandora's box for me and I am having a great deal of fun making and converting models :-)

Anyway - pop on over and trawl around the Ford-Tri-Motor Site and hopefully you will get some enjoyment out of what is available.

PS - if you have the time and inclination feel free to spread the word to others you feel might enjoy the fruits of the project. Visitors and downloads helps inspire us to continue with the project.

    Regards and happy simming

Garry J. Smith and Edward C. Moore.
