Thread: Joystick Throttle problems

  1. Default Joystick Throttle problems

This week I bought the Thrustmaster T.Flight HotasX joystick (Joystick with separate throttle).
Everything works fine exept the throttle.
In full throttle position on the joystick airplanes only accelerate to approx 70 percent, not enough for take-off speed.
I found out a lot of FSX users had to adjust FSX but I somehow can't find the right settings to adjust the thrust to 100%
The downloaded callibration program from Thrustmaster also doesn't solve the problem.
Does anyone have some kind of solution before I return the joystick to vendor ?

    regards

i think you should maybe uninstall your joystick the reinstall.

First check to see if it install properly.

You should check the calibration and sensitivity settings in FSX. Check deadzones also, sometimes new controls come with some funky default settings.

    good luck

I had the same problem with an ordinary joystick a few years ago and i seem to remember it was something to do with having to adjust the throttle deadzone, i can't remember exactly how, but I did fix it

One would normally calibrate the stick and throttle, then ensure that the throttle was set to maximum sensitivity with a nil nul zone.
