Sooo.... what you're saying it's not just me that's upset?? Just about everyone is upset about FS under new management, and how Flight turned out. Howard and company "made a bet", nothing personal, I mean I'm sure he's a nice person, but, what he's produced is historically BAD!! And I've kind of been laying low and being open minded, but the rejection of Flight is widespread. I don't feel sorry for him because he did it his way, and got paid top dollar for doing so, plus had full access to their famous cafeterias!

Are we bad people for ciriticising Flight? No, on the contrary we are good people for trying to preserve the franchise that Bill Gates and company acquired and developed into an ever more exacting masterpiece flight simulator. What the new management has done is produced SHLOCK, and they expect us to like it. Well I say - - -! This is the worst game I've ever seen! I'm buying Battlefield 3, when I don't even like 1st person shooters, to get a break from MS's resting on their laurels and trying to sell us ----!

Flight series, FSX, FS2004 will be fine. Look back at 10 years old late 80s playing FS 4.0 and expectations have gotten way out of hand nowdays. Any improvements in flight sims getting harder to squeeze low hanging fruit been picked. FSX and FS2004 will be sold like classic fender strartocaster guitar for years to come. FSX was 5 years ahead of it's time in 2006 not many computers could run it smoothly back then and now mid to low priced computers can handle FSX pretty well. Still, I will download flight once the updates are done on the base version. Flight brings new people into flight sims. Hardcore you will never satisfly them. Good flight phyiscs and decent GA goes along ways making viable. Hardcore like 10 times smaller than GA or causal user

I upgraded to Win 8 CP, the previous Flight install would no longer work, am downloading and installing Flight again.

Look... Microsoft made a decision in the best interests of their corporation and their BOSS; the stakeholders and investors. It's done and over with... DLC and the Flight 'ecosystem' is Microsoft's vision of the franchise now.

What is the sense and purpose of continuing to complain and cast stones at Microsoft for their choices? It's not going to solve anything. They are not going to do a sudden about face, admit defeat, and then immediately turn out FSXI.

The best thing we as a community need to do is face facts, accept what has happened and move on. Let the Flight Forum develop and create its own identity, with its own voices and needs.

seriously? you never heard of "squeaky wheel gets the grease"? I think the best thing we can do as a community is to let MS know our opinions of Flight. Search the web for reviews and comments about Flight, it is overwhelmingly negative. MS chose this new model to make money, pure and simple, and when they don't make money they may change their decision and then, yes, maybe start working on FS11. There is nothing wrong with complaining about a product that does not meet your expectations, it is done all the time and that is how products get improved. You are right in that we have no power over what someone else can or cannot do, but we can voice our displeasure.

May not agree with flight idea, but I concede it time to move on. Like it if it gets new users into virtual flying. Agreed, ms not gonna change course at this time and adjust to it.
