Thread: IT IS NOT FOR ME "Flight"

Default IT IS NOT FOR ME "Flight"

FSX and all my addons is fine for me.. I bought the Mega scenery for Hawaii and I love to fly Hawaii. I hate to say it but it is not my cup of tea. Many thing wrong. no trim, had a hard time to stop. did not have the feel of a real plane. Scenery at high so so, Mega is better.
I know a lot of work has gone in to Flight BUT it could be better. But it is FREE so that good.

What do you mean by "no trim"? There are trim commands that work quite well.

Download of Flight - installed it - started Flight - set graphics to the highest settings - started game without "Live" - got pushed right away into a balloon course - steared away from the balloons to fly over other areas - got stopped and pushed back to the start of the course - did this 3 times (a few minutes) - figured out it's not different from FSX + addons, but way to small and heavily restricted - interest lost quickly - stopped game - deinstalled it - finished and done with "Flight" .... overall took about 10 minutes to figure this out ...

If you only spent ten minutes with Flight you hardly gave it a fair evaluation.

I'm seeing too many postings like this. If you don't like Flight, fine, that's your right. But if you have not run it long enough to be able to give it a fair evaluation we really don't want to hear from you so don't bother posting. Valid criticism from people who have actually tried the sim is of course OK.

I've downloaded it then spent the next half hour trying to log into Windows Live. I even tried to create a new account without success. Decided it ain't worth it with all the posts I've read. I guess you get what you paid for.
    I'm deleting it as well.

okay .... noted .... maybe it's because i'm annoyed by the fact, that they canceled the Flightsimulator software, to use the left-over software and hard work developed by the Flightsimulator programmers up til FSX version, just to produce a money-making-machine-only-game now called "FLIGHT" ... doesn't matter anyway ... over and out

Anyway - i hereby give the permission to erase all my postings ... and whatever else more ...

I'm with you guys, just a money sucking machine totally getting away from the original premise of MS flight-sim.

As i have said in another thread, this is a complete rip off. 35 euros for some small islands and a small plane, and the autopilot doesn't work. With like 10 euros more you get fsx. MS said that Flight would be for the hardcore simmers too. Well it is far from that. It's just a money making generic game for ms.

For what's it worth? I have kept my silence regarding Flight. I have bought and used every edition of the flight sim world since 1984. Always looked forward to the next FS to see how much it had improved over the previous edition. Yup, even the days when you had to use DOS commands to run it.
I won't make any comments either positive or negative regarding the new Flight from MS.
Plenty of time to see what happens next and in the mean time, I will enjoy flying FSX.
For those that try it and have been in the flight sim world for some time, I look forward to reading your posts.

"Flight"......VERY disappointing. $8 for a plane that was part of the previous program??? $20 for a small area of scenery??? No thank you. I'll figure out how to use X Plane first. I did fly several of the missions and spent more than 10 minutes with it. It just reminds me of Combat Flight Sim 3 without the ability to shoot at anything. I think what bothers me more than anything is the costs. We got a lot for our money from FS9 and FSX in just the default program. I spent a lot of money on addons, but as I see it, the cost of this program just to get it equal to FSX is going to be pretty high. I'm not against paying for quality software, I've spent hundreds here at Flightsim.com just this year, but I dont like the way Microsoft is doing this. I think it would be wise of them to price the total of all thier addons competitivly with FSX. I get it if it costs a LITTLE more, but at $20 for a scenery area, and $8 per plane....this could add up very fast for just the default program.
