sp1 sp2 ? what do you think about them?

hi mick here i am thinking about downloading sp1 and sp2 and just want to see what you guys think about it first and what the ups and downs are with it please let me know your thoughts cheers!!!

I use both. SP1 was a performance update that had most benefits, but SP2 included a few more performance advantages such as better support for multicore CPUs, etc.

I can see little reason why one would not want to install them (Unless you have the acceleration pack that includes them).

Flight Simulator X Service Pack 1 addresses these post-release customer concerns:

• Activation and installation
• Third-party add-on issues
• Performance enhancements
• Content issues

SP2 amongst other things includes better multi-monitor support and a DX10 preview mode (though it's too buggy for most).

Use both if you intend to use ANY aftermarket product in FSX. No-one makes addons that aren't compatible with the current version unless they predate the arrival of those service packs in which case they're old and most likely unsupported.
