Thread: Wilco A380 Mission pushback problem

  1. Smile Wilco A380 Mission pushback problem

I have FSX with Accelerator and have recently aquired and installed the A380 package from Wilco.
I have gone thru the intermediate setup for the mission to the stage where I can pushback.
Unfortunately the plane is facing forward and naturally the pushback forces the plane back thru the hanger and out the other side!
Any advice out there. I really want to get this plane in the air.

Sorry can't help, I'm too impatient to bother with pushback with any plane; I simply hit 'Y' to enter slew mode then push/pull/twist the joystick to slide the plane into takeoff position on the runway, then hit 'Y' again to exit slew mode, you could do that with your A380 til you solve the pushback thing.

Incidentally you can also use slew to get airborne from anywhere without going to the runway, hit 'Y' then 'F4' to rocket up vertically a few thousand feet, then hit 'Y' again.
Also the Y/F4/Y sequence will get gliders airborne if you don't want to use a tow plane.
And it also comes in useful if you're taking off in a plane and are running out of runway and about to smack into trees/buildings; just hit Y/F4/Y to get out of trouble..

    Love it!.
I have not yet got to this level of frustration. Still want to master the start up etc.
    But I will try it.
    Tks.
