Default need help with a sound WAV

I have Wilco airbus vol 1, which is the only plane i fly except for just tootling around. My problem is a sound WAV that keeps triggering..i guess it's an idling vehicle near the plane...could be described as a growling sound. It triggers randomly, and even on take off roll, and is very annoying.
Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

I've had something similar with the wilco/feelthere e-jets. Found out it was the default fuelpump sound. Try deleting/moving the fuel_pump.wav from your original FSX\Sound folder, that did it for me.

Never delete wav files from the root sound folder if you don't know what's causing unusual sounds in cockpit. Fuel_pump.wav is associated and shared by other FSX aircraft so by deleting it you're depriving its intended functions in other aircraft. @ntai; if you're hearing fuel_pump sound, then simple select a piston aircraft (c172 or baron), and from the cockpit, click on the fuel pump switch to turn it off. Then select your airbus and save as your next start-up aircraft. You won't hear the fuel pump anymore.

    Hope that helps.
    Edited for speeling..

Instead of deleting the file, rename it with another extension, i.e. Fuel_Pump.wav.OUT, or Fuel_pump.wav.passive. I do this with the trim sound for the Wilco 737 PIC in order not to hear the trim wheel sound, which though it is part of the actual aircraft cockpit experience, for me it gets a bit grating after awhile, and I chose to disable the sound.

However, if this sound is an FSX default wav file (used for multiple aircraft) , then do the instructions as the prior poster described.

    Hope it helps!

    Cheers,
    Mike T.

Good point indeed from the both of you. Forgot to mention to always back up. I have a whole virgin FSX backed up so for me it's no problem to delete something.
