Thread: forum freedom

  1. Default forum freedom

Hi all, just wanted to congratulate this forum for allowing us to tell our point of view in regards to the upcoming flight. It is a shame that other related sites have closed the forums waitning for MS Flight to be released, and forbidden us to speech "freely", the new rules are absurd. The forums are places to post our points of view, no matter if are in favor or against a product. that's what their are meant to.
a shame, and probably i will never return to such places. I really hope that this forum will reamain as an open sapce in which we can argue, discuss, share and help others freely.
MS Flight has decided to close all door to 3rd party devs, it will be the only one in the market, the other forum seems to have gone to the same place, they will decide what can be posted, and if it is against MS it will be banned.
I wish i could tell you guys what website is, but for sure must of you already know
    Happy flying fellow captains

That is absolutely incorrect sir, and I assure you that the rules there are no different than they are here. Whenever anyone attacks another person in their post, it will be subject to moderation, deletion and whatever other measures are necessary. In short words, the rules are simple:

    1. Arguing or discussing an idea - Okay!
    2. Attacking a fellow member or making nasty and/or libelous remarks about another person -
    Not Okay!

For your information, there is no such thing as "Free Speech" in any forum, regardless of where it might be hosted. Flightsim.com is no exception!

when I say "Speech freely" I believe I clearly wrote "point of view". I do understand and and also share that we can't offend people. Point of view is not the same as nasty or irrespect to someone else. If I canīt speech freely about any point with all the respect and not offending, then I guess this should not be the forum to be. Is it true? Canīt we post freely our points of view here without offending someone else without been banned? Could it be possible that if we do not like Flight, then we have to shot up, cause therī's no room for conplain here?
Please let me know if this is the case, so I would have no interest to be in this forum.

I think I have some of your scenery from FS98. I got as many airports as I could across South America, and Central America. Developers like you were a godsend, because my hobby has been flying around the world. I routinely flew all over S & C America. Exciting territory.

Welcome to our forums, I hope you have a good time.

It seems, most the time, folks here are far less rude, more respectful and have more class. Especially to the newer people!

I said something similar in another thread..........Flightsim.com has proven that it can operate and go about its business without sinking into dictatorship lows. I find it strange that people from these other forums claim that THIS is the forum known for dictators, etc. How's everything at their FLIGHT forum? I've been here since around 2001, and I've seen fairness 99% of the time. I've been a member of many other forums, and I can tell you that this is a sane place. There are places where people are way over there head, Flightsim is not one of them.
