Boy, I don't know how this thread escaped me for so long. I've been reading these forums for the better part of ten or twelve years and never saw this one before. To bad, too, because back when it first started, I might have remembered everything I had flown in as well as all the planes I have personally flown. However, all this time seems to have passed and I've grown considerably older. So old, in fact, that I can't remember where my car keys are, let alone what airplanes I flew, or flew in. I know I flew my own airplane, a 415-C Ercoupe (I have pictures to prove it, that's how I know). I also have a picture of myself flying George Bishops SNJ, and I remember him letting me fly it if I filled the aux tank (cost me $90.00 back in 1961, that's how I remember that one). My dad took me to New York with him on "The Wings of Man" before Eastern was promoting itself that way. I was about ten, and the plane was a DC-3. I would fly in that plane with many carriers and over many years as the DC-3 found its way from the major airlines to the commuters.

I learned to fly in 1961, and flew just about anything you could find around a local landing field (we called them that back then). Cesssnas, Cubs, Stinsons, Champs, etc. My first twin was a Piper Apache, my most recent twin was a Baron. I could probably spend an hour or so with a yellow pad and pencil and come up with as long a list as any here, but to what purpose. I've lived a long and full life, and there were lots of flights, some as a passenger, others as P.I.C. How many planes? Lots. I enjoyed my rides in each and every one, especially those in which I flew myself!
