Hi,

I have recently installed FS2002 Pro and added a number of freeware aircraft. However, in the past couple of days, I have been experiencing quite a number of crashes. And I don't mean the airplanes crashing into the ground, I mean my system crashes. When it crashes, the screen freezes (I still get the image on the screen plus the engine noice). In fact, it crashes so hard that I lose ALL access to the system and am forced to power off and on the computer.

This happens when I am simply taxiing the airacraft for a couple of minutes to the runway.

The hardware configuration is as follows:
System: Intel P4-1.6GHz with 768MB of RAM plus ATI Radeon 7500 Graphics card with 32MB of RAM.

I am also using a Microsoft SideWinder Precision 2 Joystick via USB.

In desparation, I have tried deleting the fs2002.cfg file and allowing the system to re-create a clean new fs2002.cfg I have also made NO adjustments to the Settings->Display panels. But none of this seems to help.

My last resort is to attempt a reinstall of FS2002. However, before I do so, I want to know if someone out there has encountered this frustrating problem and have some opinions to share.

Any help would be greatly appreciated !
