    Default Private 767 Weight

    Hi,

I enjoy flying the LevelD767 and was wondering if anyone knew what the typical DOW would be for a private 767, ie no seats, overhead compartments gallery & toilets etc?

I am looking to get a DOW and balance fiqures as if the craft was fitted out as a mobile home. (Kitchen, living room, bedroom etc). i have been on the Boeing site (http://boeing.com/commercial/bbj/index.html) but they have no weight guidance. If you'd care to view the gallery you'll set the setup i am trying to achieve.

    many thanks

    Beanie

There isnt a specific weight, the BBJ and VIP models are provided unfinished to the customer for completion. Ie, they go from Boeing to a 'completion centre', where they are outfitted with whatever the customer wants. So... unless you go to B&Q, and price up MDF, chipboard, and laurence llewelyn bowen then you can get the pocket calculator out and find out a weight, you'll have to invent a suitable weight. Chances are, its similar to the normal outfitted weight for a combi, or pax model.

I'd guess it would be pretty tough to overload it with that kind of a configuration, wouldn' you think?

I guess only thing to make sure is never to exceed Max. TO Weight. And keep an eye on Centre Of Gravity. So no heavy oak chests in the back or you will turn it into a tail-dragger
