FSM Map, again

Couple of weeks ago I asked about a button with an icon to open the Map window. Don gave an excellent reply, which works fine, but I also noticed an exchange about assigning an 'm' keystroke, so I tried it. Sounds simple but, when I open the map this way, I almost always get a black scenery screen out the front when I close it (every other view is OK). Any advice on what's going wrong, please.

M is normally assigned to Magnetos.

Go back and check your settings-controls assignments. Usually one cannot double assign a keystroke and see what is assined to Magnetos?
