Thread: configuration manager

  1. #1

    Default configuration manager

Trying to get the configuration manager to work, I spent about 6 hours today unistalling/reinstalling flt 1's 727, turning off my anti virus, turning off my user account control, turning off my firewall & running as full administrator. I still get the error message:

"run-time error '429': You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality".

Is there anything that anyone knows about that's not listed on flt1's support page that might be of help.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions, Steve

Do a search on here for that error. You will need to download and run an .exe

    Been there done that!
Thank you for your help pschlute, I can't thank you enough. Yesterday I did so many install/uninstalls with this plane that I had to reactivate my key with flt1. I tried everything you mentioned & more. I've been to 2 other web sites besides this one & tried everything there as well. Nothing is working. I'm not going to spend anymore time on this project. I've just accepted the fact that this is not going to work on this computer. I may try purchasing a 727 from another developer & then keep which ever one works the best.

Thank you again for your time, I hope I can do the same for you someday, Steve

I am experiencing the same problem with Configuration Manager. I got the Text o Matic to work, but the Config Manager has become a headache. Had to reinstall Windows XP as well as reformat my hard drive because of a virus. Since then I have been unable to reconfigure the 727...I operate out of a 5500 foot airport and cannot fly out of here full. I wish someone would respond to this. Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear your problem. I was using windows 7 & had to finally give it up on the CM, it's just not going to work on my computer. Since you're using windows xp you should be fine as I see many others here have been able to get their configuration manager working with few issues. Just to let you know, I've been in a B727 for 12 years & I can tell you that operating out of a 5,500' strip is unheard of for us. At 6,600' (I think) Hot Springs Arkansas is the shortest runway I've used to date and even then a lot of other conditions would need to be met before we would consider it. If your 727 isn't letting you take off on a 5,500' runway then I'd guess your sim is being more 'real world' than I'd have thought.

    Good luck, Steve

Arrgh - same issue - has anyone come up with a fix... I'll be pretty disappointed if I can't use the DF727 in my new build...
